Having read some of the negative reviews, we had concerns as to our stay at the property. We read that it was old, a little unclean, etc. However, we were pleasantly surprised that actually the property is not as old as some reviews make it out to be. The room and toilet were also very clean. Sure, the room is on the basic side (no kettle, free water, toiletries), but those are not essential. There were body soap and shampoo and a hair dryer. Toilet is also very big with lots of space to move around. We liked the portable fan in the room. We also couldn't get enough of the excellent location of the property. For the price we paid during an Euro 2024 weekend, we think we got a great deal. The design of the hotel is also unique - the lobby of the interior is designed like a chapel. Peaceful and calm. The staff members were also polite and efficient. What we appreciated was how secure the luggage storage was - some hotels simply let you walk into the luggage room and take your bags. But how it works here is that the staff member follows you to the room, asks you to point out your luggage, and then the staff member verifies that your tag number matches that on the luggage. Very clever!

Great location, great accommodation for a solo traveller and the price was really good for the time around New Year's - I booked it just 2 days before the stay. Super clean, comfy and big enough bed (I'm almost 2 meters), big enough bathroom, kind and helpful staff, towels, you can always ask for more towels and toilet paper. The staff let me keep my bags at the reception until I was heading towards the airport. The hotel is less than a 2 minutes walk away from public transport (the S-Bahn takes you to Alexanderplatz in less than 5 minutes)

Close / walking distance (if you like to walk) to the train station HBF and other sites/ areas of interests in Berlin e.g. Brandenburger Gate. The staff were friendly/ accommodating. The breakfast was good too, though could use some variety since mostly the same everyday. The room, room assigned to me anyway, was good for the New Year’s midnight fireworks. You can hear them, but it was not so loud, so you can actually sleep with all the noise from the festivities. Wonderful.

The property is located quite centrally, close to a very busy train/metro junction, but it was nevertheless tremendously quiet in my room, also because my window faced the courtyard. The room was clean, the mattress and the pillow were comfortable, the curtain was thick enough to prevent waking up by sunlight, and the shower was good. In addition, there were several restaurants/cafes in the same street, as well as shops and supermarkets at walking distance.

The location was fantastic, right next to a big station where you can get the S and U bahn and only one stop from the central station. Many famous landmarks were within a short walk - excellent! Considering it was so central, I was amazed how quiet it was. My bedroom window looked out into an internal courtyard and it was SILENT - so it was much easier to sleep. The bathroom looked very new and was nice and clean.
